Xilinx XST is used for the synthesis of MicroBlaze. Symplify Pro is used for the synthesis of the LEON2 processor. The reason why Simplify Pro is not used for the synthesis of the MicroBlaze processor is the fact that MicroBlaze processor is distributed as a parametrizable netlist, i.e. it is already synthesized. PowerPC implementation have been developed using the Xilinx Embedded Development Kit.
