Orugator v1.1 released


The second version of the Orugator, a 3D printable all terrain robot, has been released on Thingiverse.
The Orugator robot is an all-terrain robot fully designed with OpenSCAD by students of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid under the supervision of Juan Gonzalez (ObiJuan) and Alberto Valero. The main designer, Olalla Bravo, is a Mechanics Engineering student of 2nd year.

It is impressive how in few time students can acquiere the required knowledge to design a robot. Moreover, being it printable, it is easy to test and evolve the prototypes. Code can be shared over the internet and other people can freely modify it, improving or simply varying the design.
